Campus b student interns from the US and Brazil tackle virtual team-based internship projects
Campus b has partnered with Insper, a globally-ranked business school in Brazil, to launch a Summer Virtual Internship Program. Together we welcomed a wonderful group of student interns from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Texas Tech University, the University of Washington, and Insper.  Throughout the 9-week internship program, interns will embrace a virtual journey by collaborating on team-based internship projects working with renowned Brazilian organizations while learning more about Brazilian culture.

A Fall semester version of the Virtual Internship Program is open for enrollment and applicants are welcome to apply on the Campus b website.

The Asia Institute's 'Return to Asia' scholarship supports 2020 programs affected by pandemic
Due to the global disruptions caused by COVID-19, study abroad programs have been cancelled or postponed for thousands of students. To encourage the return of interest in study abroad in 2021 and 2022, The Asia Institute will award $125,000 in scholarship funding to students on faculty-led short-term programs in Asia, prioritizing 2020 programs that were cancelled.

Scholarships will be awarded on a program-by-program basis, so study abroad administrators and faculty leaders planning Asia-based programs for 2021 and 2022 are encouraged to apply.

Resource Spotlight: LunaTech designs platform for virtual fairs
We are excited to share that Global Learning Collective family member John Benander, formerly of Athena Study Abroad, has developed an exciting and innovative technical tool designed specifically with the structure of a study abroad fair in mind.  This system was developed through collaboration and partnership with universities and provider contributors across the country, which will assist universities, partners, and students in maximizing the effectiveness and ease of conducting virtual fairs this fall and going forward. The service will be offered at no cost for all free study abroad fairs, and at minimal costs for others. Sign up today to be notified when the system is ready for launch!

Well wishes to our friends at Athena Study Abroad
With extremely heavy hearts we acknowledge the news from our partners at Athena Study Abroad that they have ceased business operations.  As one of the founding members of the Global Learning Collective, Athena Study Abroad has played a pivotal role in the development and strength of the partnership that exists today.  Stacy and John Benander have led Athena Study Abroad for the last 15 years with great passion, drive, and integrity, and are truly inspirational leaders in the international education field.  We wish them all the best with the future endeavors that await them.
